Since the launch of our membership drive in October of 2021, many of our members, community partners, and supporters have generously volunteered their time, resources, and skills to further our mission, and asked how they could get more involved. In response, we’re incredibly excited to announce the launch of committees! For the Clifton Crafthouse Co-op to truly operate for the benefit of and be accountable to the community, we now need the participation of our community, our member-owners, to bring this vision to life. Please get involved by joining a committee, invite your friends and colleagues that might be interested too, and help us fully leverage the cooperative model to collaboratively create the spaces our community needs to live and thrive.
Four initial committees have been identified based on expressed interest and our current stage of development, but our process policy grants the flexibility to create other committees as the needs or opportunities arise. The proposed titles, functions, and example goals of each of the 4 initial committees (currently including: Membership Committee, Fundraising Committee, Finance Committee, Clifton Community Character Committee) are outlined on our website. Get involved by joining a committee, and help us fully leverage the cooperative model to collaboratively create the spaces our community needs to live and thrive. A cooperative is owned by its members, and run democratically for their benefit. As such, we're relying on our member-owners - not just a few wealthy investors - to help us raise the funds needed to bring our vision to life, and ensure it's designed to meet our community's needs.
